Arboreal Echoes | Original Mixed-Media Painting

Arboreal Echoes is a small but quietly powerful mixed-media work that asks a simple question with layered implications: what remains when everything decorative is stripped away? What is left is the structure. The roots. The reach. And in this painting, that answer takes physical form.

An aluminum wire tree rises from the canvas in precise, handcrafted detail — skeletal branches extending outward and upward with a delicacy that belies the strength of the material. Roots press downward with equal intention, anchoring the figure to a surface it seems simultaneously part of and apart from. The wire catches light as metal does — differently than paint, differently than anything flat — creating a subtle, shifting interplay of reflection and shadow that changes as you move around the piece.
